- Don’t be fooled by pretty pictures or low price with heavy stipulations
-Here at Indy Specialty we take pride that we are sending you the customer the best possible product that we can send you at the most reasonable price we can offer.
-With that being said other companies selling engines based off a pretty picture that they took of one brand new motor (Or a silver painted motor) that does not accurately portray the process that they go through in their rebuild process.
- Here at Indy Specialty we want you the customer to understand why we do what we do and what is involved in our ranger/razor/sportsman motors.
-Our engines are built with only the best parts and to factory spec and beyond factory spec. with new parts. All of our engines include NEW CRANKSHAFT, MAIN BEARINGS, COUNTER BALANCE BEARINGS, NEW CAM AND LIFTERS, REPLATED CYLINDERS, PISTONS, COMPLETELY REBUILT OIL PUMPS, NEW POLISHED OIL PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE WITH HONING OF RELIEF VALVE BORE… AND ALL OF OUR MOTORS ARE TOPPED OFF WITH A CNC VALVE SERVICE WITH NEW VALVES AND SEALS.
- Major improvements over other companies is that we have recognized one major flaw of the 800 ORV engine is that the oil pressure relief valve is prone to plugging and sticking, one of the causes for this is improper maintenance being oil changes and air filters. We install a polished relief valve and clean up the relief valve bore with a specialized honing process to improve this situation and clean up damage from a previous failure.
-Another thing is other companies saving money by reusing crankshafts from there core motors if they seem good. This is a problem because due to how those crankshafts are made, they are unserviceable and can not be pressed apart and inspected. The only solution to this is to replace the crankshaft to ensure a good quality part is being used in the engine and will not fail.
-Our motors are serviced with a replated and precision honed cylinder as well. Our HG7 cylinder finish eliminates the problem with standard finishes being too rough and the plating being so hard it acts like sand paper and wears the rings prematurely. We hone all of our cylinders with a precision CNC hone accurate down to .0001” while other companies do not hone cylinders.
-Here at Indy Specialty we CNC cut all of our cylinder heads to ensure perfect valve fitment of the new valves that are installed. No other company has the process that we perform on our cylinder heads. This is not just valves lapped and installed. This process includes (new valve seats cut to perfect fitment for new valve both intake and exhaust, along with a new upgraded valve guide that takes wear much better than the OEM guide and allows for an exhaust valve seal which an OEM guide does not have, and to finish off the head service all new seals. All of our engines come with rocker arms and pushrods and a head cover with crankcase breather.
core charge updates-
To compensate for the rash of core engines not arriving or arriving so late that we do not have parts we need for the next engine, For this reason we have been having to buy large amounts of parts that are becoming more expensive and harder to come by. For this reason, all of our ATV core charges will be increasing to $1500. This core is refundable when your core engine is received and assessed in the allotted amount of time. This core charge will follow all rules that apply below.
-We never want the customer to be surprised by a price they are paying for an engine. Here at Indy specialty we have a $1500 core charge to send your motor to you before you send your motor in for a core. This core charge is there to ensure that we receive good parts in return so we can keep building quality motors to the customer. Upon arrival of your core motor it is disassembled and cleaned and inspected for core charge. The main reasons that a customer may not receive his/her core charge back is if there is catastrophic failure resulting in damage to crankcase, cylinder head, or camshaft and lifters. These are the most expensive parts that we have to replace to build another motor. Crankcase being $979.99- cam and lifters $379.99- cylinder head $704.99 to replace these items for the next engine. The next reason a customer may lose his/her core return would be not sending a core or sending a core 30 days later, we need these motors back as soon as possible so we can build one for the next customer.
